THE 7 VALKYRIES CHALLENGE
The 7 Valkyries Challenge is an International Tournament that is organised every year after summer.
However, it is the first edition under this name as the tournament was called "Ekeberg Damer 7s".
The word valkyrie derives from Old Norse valkyrja (plural valkyrjur), which is composed of two words; the noun valr (referring to the slain on the battlefield) and the verb kjósa (meaning "to choose"). Together, the compound means "chooser of the slain".
This tournamant welcomes 16 Women teams from Europe.
