The United Hospitals 15 A-side tournament is one of the oldest in the world, and its younger brother the 7s tournament is now over 40 years old. Competed for by the 5 Medical Schools in London; Imperial Medics, RUMS, GKT, St Georges and Barts & London alongside the Royal Vets College. The rivarly is fierce with there being plenty of bad and good blood between the teams. It is commonly found that fathers and grandfathers competed for the tournament for their respected colleges in the past, the pressure is always on all of the colleges to do their past proud.
The 2008 tournament is hosted by Barts and Royal London at the picturesque Chislehust Sports Ground where Imperial Medics, the long time champions will once again be playing the villian as they attempt to defend their title.
