Uprising Beach Resort was created in 2006, the next year it got it's own Sevens Team Running.
Now for the first time the The Uprising Fiji International sevens tournament will be staged on the 21st and 22nd of January 2011 at the TFL National Stadium in Suva, Fiji's Capital city.
The Tournament, is born with the intention of bringing a world class tournament to Fiji, in which National sides and Elite clubs and Superclubs will participate for victory.
For it's first edition, the likes of Fiji, Samoa, Ponthesby, Samurai, Les Bleus, US Grizzlies, New Caledonia and Fiji's Red Rock and Army Green have already confirmed a spot, with Manawatu, Spain and Froggies Club on standby.
