55TH SUNSHINE SEVENS - 29/4/2012
Looking forward to your continued support and celebrate 55 years of Sevens!!
Last year’s saw our weekend of Sevens and our Senior Men’s Tournament raise the standards yet again with some of the best teams in the south competing for the Lady Astor of Hever trophy. A huge crowd watched both Main and Plate finals basking in the Easter holiday sunshine. Last years winners Maurauders Academy looked really good in the early rounds, but a really physical and controlled performance by Esher saw them take the title by 38 – 26 in a trilling final.
East Grinstead continued their strong season and pursuit of silverware by winning the Plate beating Cardinal 7 52-5.
Many thanks for supporting the tournament and your efforts helped us to raise almost £8,000, and support local Children’s charities.
The format of this year will again be a Weekend of Rugby.
Saturday 28th April – The Senior Ladies Tournament for the Steve Cairns Trophy

Sunday 29th April – Senior Men’s Tournament – for the Lady Astor of Hever Trophy.
24 teams – Following IRB schedule.
Main Tournament – Super-Bowl - Plate Tournament – Bowl
Guaranteed minimum of 3 games..........
The cost of entry for Senior Men’s tournament is £75 – Full payment pre-tournament.
