Once again Scarborough RFC host their annual ‘Scarborough Sevens Tournament’.

The weekend is usually split up into two separate events. The ‘Real Ale’ tournament on the Saturday is traditionally a social event for lower leagued club players. Sunday sees the ‘Pindar Tournament’, Scarborough’s premier tournament attracting some of the finest 7’s teams in Europe on the elite level circuit.

This year is sure to be a special occasion as it will be the first time the event is held at Scarborough’s RFC’s prestigious new ground, ‘Silver Royd’. This fantastic new £4m stadium is set in 32 acres of land with 5 senior pitches, 5 mini pitches, 10 changing rooms, 2 gyms, indoor rugby training sportshall, and lots more leisure facilities!

Scarborough is a great location for a ‘Sevens’ being a seaside tourist attraction with a rocking nightlife and cheap accommodation. This premier resort is fully geared up for the rugby tourist! The event prides itself on giving players the opportunity to relax and enjoy their rugby as the league season draws to a close.
