SAFARI SEVENS
Considered Africa’s premier 7 a side tournament, the ‘Safaricom Sevens’ gives the rugby enthusiast an opportunity to enjoy extensive competition whilst immersing themselves in the distinctive Kenyan culture.
A host of quality 7s outfits will be back in Nairobi this year relishing an opportunity in taking down 2009 defending champions, the Kenyan National team. As well as the cream of Sub-Saharan Africa rugby on show with likes of Emerging Boks and Zimbabwe present, there is also a strong overseas contingent present with Fiji, France, Japan, and the British Army former participants.
Away from the main cup there is school boy, veteran, and female action on tap at the RFUEA ground.
With Kenya known throughout the IRB 7s fraternity as having the most fun loving and raucous supporters, the ‘Safari Sevens’ is played out in a awesome intimate carnival atmosphere rivalling Hong Kong and Dubai.
