With five hugely successful events behind us and a growing reputation the 2012 event, which promises to be just as fantastic! This year we are running two tournaments which both take place on Saturday 7th July 2012 at the Recreation Ground, Olney in a day packed full of excellent rugby and socialising.
The main Data-Re tournament for up to 20 teams has a cash prize of £500 to our winning team, with a £250 prize for the runners-up.
The Hopping Mad tournament for up to 12 teams is aimed at players who are mainly over 30 or play in lower club or work sides. Those taking part in this tournament will need to appreciate the liquid prize from the tournament sponsors, the Olney based Hopping Mad Brewery.
Registration is between 9:45am and 10:15am on Saturday 7 July, and the first matches will kick-off at 10:30am. Both tournaments are expected to finish at approx 6.30 pm with presentations to the winning teams
The event includes:
4 ‘pool’ games
All teams progress to the knockout stages
Trophy, Plate, Shield and Bowl competitions
Complimentary T shirt for players
Complimentary ‘jug’ of beer for each team
BBQ and other food on sale plus all day bar
Evening social with live band and hog roast
Free entry for supportors and spectators
Free overnight camping is available with use of the club showers and other facilities.
