ROSSLYN PARK NATIONAL SCHOOLS 7S
Since its inception in 1939 to today 2009 the National School 7s has grown into the largest rugby tournament on the planet with schools competing in the tournament from all over the world.
The tournament features 6 divisions covering all ages of school rugby from Prep & Junior all the way up to senior schools with the Open and Festival Competition. There is also a girls division. The tournament has grown to such an extent it now takes a whole week to complete.
The weather is not always guaranteed with the March date for the tournament but the quality of the rugby is never diminished as the future stars of the game represent their schools.
The National Schools 7s has been a whos who of rugby over the years with many of the superstars of the game having competed in the tournament including RWC 7s + 15s winners Lawrence Dallaglio for Ampleforth and Matt Dawson for RGS High Wycombe.
Who will be next to shine (hopefully in the sun) only time will tell.............
