This Saturday sees the Help for Heroes and British Army rugby teams take on a host of Guinness Premiership teams at Twickenham in the Middlesex Charity 7s tournament, live on Sky Sports Extra. DRD The Fireworks Store is sponsoring the tournament and has pledged to give £1 to Help for Heroes for every point scored.

DRD The Fireworks Store is supporting Help for Heroes with a special red, white and blue range of lanterns and fireworks, with proceeds from each sale going to the charity, and is sponsoring the Charity 7s on Saturday to help raise awareness of the plight of servicemen and women injured in current conflict.

“When we found out that Help for Heroes was fielding a 7s team, it was obvious that we should be supporting them there,” says DRD The Fireworks Store managing director, and ex-serviceman, Peter Broom. “And to make it extra fun, we’ll donate £1 for every point scored on the day!”

DRD’s fireworks and lanterns add something spectacular and fun to any event, whether giving that wow factor to a gathering of friends and family or just providing a romantic ambience for a special evening.

Help for Heroes is a non-politically motivated charity that helps those wounded in the service of our country, young men and women who join up in time of conflict and risk all. It has raised over £25m in the last 20 months and of that has already spent or allocated £13.35m with more applications being processed daily.

Its funds go to the direct, practical support of those injured in the current conflicts and it is providing both facilities such as the Rehabilitation Complex at Headley Court and services like the Battle Back adaptive adventure training programme.
