The 10th anniversary Middlesex Club Sevens Finals will be held on Saturday 2nd May at Richmond Athletic Ground.

The specially reconstructed tournament format for the anniversary year encompasses ten separate competitions, including a newly formatted combined ladies and student ladies competition.

The other trophies on offer include the men’s Cup, Bowl, and Plate, the Vase and Jug which are designed to give junior clubs a sporting chance, and the Student men’s cup and plate, all taking place on the one day, across all seven pitches at the Richmond Athletic Ground.

With the Club Sevens growing in stature each year, last year was a triumphant year for the grass roots competition with a record number of entries from teams in London and the Home Counties. Last year’s Cup winners, St Mary’s College, will be back to defend their title against the likes of Harlequin and Saracen Amateurs, Rosslyn Park, Esher and Ruislip.



As has come to be expected of any sevens event worthy of the name, the bars at Richmond will be open all day, there is a variety of food on offer, picnics in the car park are de rigeur, with special picnic car park passes on sale, and a festival atmosphere will prevail.
