2011 Festival of Rugby

Monday 08 March 2010

Bthere Events, would like to invite Rugby clubs/schools in the North-West of England to submit their interest in hosting a rugby sevens tournament in the summer of 2011. Due to a switch in venue we have had to limit the number of tournaments at this years Manchester Rugby 7s (MR7s), however we intend to re-introduce the more ‘social’ tournaments in 2011. We have been inundated with requests from teams wishing to enter this year’s MR7s and many, if not all, of the one hundred teams from 2009 have expressed their interest to return. Bthere Events would like to host a number of new tournaments at clubs/ schools in the area, with the elite tournaments remaining at Heywood Rd. This would form part of a much wider ‘Festival of Rugby’, generating valuable exposure for the clubs involved and the City of Manchester. Here are just some of the tournaments we would like to include: Under 8’s - Under 18’s, Ladies Open / Social, Men’s Northern Cup / Open / Social, Vets (Over 35’s), University Open / Social etc.... Please complete the ‘2011 Expression of Interest’ form on the MR7s website should this be of interest to you and your club. Please do not hesitate to contact Marco Vaghetti (Tournament Director) should you have any questions or require further information - • info@ManchsterRugby7s.com • 07798 740 920 view the rest of the post »
