The London Rugby Festival shall take place over the bank holiday weekend of 1st and 2nd May 2010 and holds tournaments inviting players of all abilities, from amateurs through to professionals. This includes touch rugby, open men’s and ladies’ sevens and two men’s professional tournaments – an elite premiership U20’s sevens (showcasing many potential stars of the 2016 Olympics) and a Legends tens tournament featuring many ex-premiership and international stars. We will also be running a women’s volleyball tournament. England Deaf Rugby Union are getting involved to showcase and raise awareness for their organization and will be entering a sevens team into the tournament.


For all the spectators, there will be lots of fun going on off the field as well, with sponsors’ exhibition stands, food and drink stalls and other entertainment. There will be a post-play “Rugby Club” bar open Friday, Saturday and Sunday night for spectators and campers to complete the rugby-party atmosphere!


The London Rugby Festival is sure to be a key event in the calendar of any rugby fan within striking distance of the city at the heart of English rugby, which we hope will spread and reward their love for this great sport.
