The IRB Sevens World Series is the world's premiere Rugby Sevens series. Consisting of eight of the top Rugby Sevens tournaments in the world, this prestigious series is competed for by national teams from around the globe. Traditional rugby playing nations take part in the series with considerable success. The IRB sevens also provides meaningful competition for lower ranked sides in the 15 a side game. Teams such as Kenya, Samoa and Tonga have achieved success and teams such as Russia and Portugal have had a taste of top class rugby.
