The Hürth Rugby Club, short RCH, was founded in 1960. The tradition of the Hürth Rugby Sevens started off with the tournament in the year 1962. The winner of this first tournament was the team of the Royal Air Fore in Geilenkirchen. Up to last years tournament we have seen 24 international winners from France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, the USA and Germany. Since 1970 we are playing a cupround and a plateround. Since 2000 we are playing a two days tournament over Saturday and Sunday, with 12 rugby teams. And a players night, of course. The last year Hürth Rugby Sevens cup winner was the team from the British Army Germany, final versus Cologne Crusaders.

The Rugby Center Hürth - the club house is situated in, as well as addresses of hotels and youth hostels. Please be aware, that due to the fact that the RCH is situated next to the City of Cologne (city centre only 4 miles apart) the booking of hotels, boarding houses or youth hostels has to be done as soon as possible. There is also the opportunity for free camping right beside the club house. But therefore it is also necessary to book in advanced, because the space, our club can offer for free camping, is limited.

The tournament will take place on May, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th, with a warm welcome party on Friday night.
The tournament entrance fee is 270, - Euro, from which 120,-Euro will be the starting fee, and 150,-Euro will be a depository, which will be paid back, directly after the arrival of the team. The total winning prices will be 750,-Euro, from which 300,-Euro will be given to the cup winner.
