SAN SEBASTIAN BEACH RUGBY FEST.
San Sebastian, a beautifull seaside city in the north of Spain, just 30 km away from the french border and perfectly connected to the likes of Biarritz, Bayonne, or Bilbao and Pamplona, all of wich are less than 50 minues away, is a candidate to try and be the 2016 european capital of culture. As an integral part of this event the town has decided to back the creation of new iniciatives. Here we come in, and are proud to present the first ever San Sebastian Beach Rugby Festival, Iñaki Arana memorial.
Iñaki Arana was a local Rugby player that died at a young age of 23 last year due to an car accident, he embodied the spirit of rugby, in his carisma, friendliness, companionship and his never ending strive for excelence both in sport and in humanity.
The tournament in its first edition will take place in the beach known as Zurriola, wich is the surfing beach of San Sebastian. It will last for a whole day and is open to anybody holding a Rugby license anywere in the world.
San Sebastian appart from its beautifull setting offers some of the best gastronomy in Spain and is well known by its pintxos and ongoing festive atmosphere all over the year, the people of San Sebastian sheldom stay at home,may the sun shine or the rain pour, they are always walking and living life in the city giving the place that lively buzz we all need to feel at home.
