The Bondi Tens is now in its 7th year and continues to grow and attract more teams from across the world each year. Whilst the primary aim of the tournament is to host a competition of the highest possible standard, albeit with a strong social theme around Bondi and Sydney Harbour, the event is also a fundraising venture, with proceeds to be donated to the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and other charities supporting those affected by the terrorist bombings in Kuta, Bali on 12 October 2002.

Woollahra Colleagues RUFC the tournament hosts had a side in the Bali Ten’s Tournament of 2002 and while fortunate not to lose a member of the that touring squad, one former club player and many friends of Colleagues were killed. Out of this experience came the idea of hosting a tens tournament in Sydney to raise money for Bali-related charities.

The 2011 Bondi Tens promises to be another great weekend of fun by the beach with over 1000 people expected at the now world famous after party.
