2011 sees the 68th consecutive Sevens Tournament at Caldy. This year (2010) a young North Wales Exiles side narrowly failed to overcome a strong Stobart Seven (Sale Jets) in the final. The Exiles went on to record victories at the LLangoed Sevens and the prestigious International Open at the Manchester Sevens. 2011 promises to be a big year and it is hoped Caldy can return to the halcyon days of the 1990s when the likes of world champions Fiji and Western Samoa graced the pitches at Paton Field. It is hoped that 2011 will be an international tournament with teams being invited from all countries of the UK as well as abroad.
