WANCHAI WANDERERS
The Wanchai wanderers are a select group of rugby players who tour the globe in an effort to find competition worthy of our skill levels!!!!
The team have played competition in Hong Kong alongside the likes of Jonah Lomu and Bobby Skinstad, South Africa where the team had to field 16 players to manage a victory. In 2008 the Wanchai played their first 10's tournament in Helsinki, Finland competing in the Baltic Tens plate competition... The team had convincing wins over all participants to make it to the final where they were screwed out of the win by a dodgy try, however they did show this part of the world a physical style of rugby they had never seen before...
Although rugby is high on the clubs agenda the primary focus is on international relations, socialising with the locals over a nice bottle of jaagermeister... usually resulting in merriment for all!!
There are four rules that the wanchai run by and these are:
