RAM STALLIONS
The University of Reading Social Sevens is where the ‘STALLIONS’ part of the name originates from. Two rugby players hailing from Bristol (Rich 'Digler' Parry and Sammy Palmer), decided to bring together established and up and coming rugby sevens talent from around England and Wales. They were invited to represent them at the famous sevens tournament played each year in March.
The rest is history and the team was formed in 2005 where it played in the University of Reading Social Sevens as its first tournament.
In 2008, RAM M.D William Eve became involved in the team and provided the kit and introduced the idea of having a RAM Sponsored Sevens team on the international invitational circuit to the company.
RAM STALLIONS are an up and coming international invitation side that are looking to become a big name on the Rugby Union Sevens circuit. The players that are selected to play for the STALLIONS are sourced from the English and Welsh rugby clubs ranging from National 1 to top-tier regional clubs. The team also includes players from New Zealand, Australia and South African 7s teams and NPC sides.
RAM STALLIONS are also a touring side and will be playing in a range of overseas tournaments to be confirmed. RAM STALLIONS will also be running a heavily subsidised European tour which we will be emphasising the more social elements of the game.
