Olafs Axes come up short in Bournemouth
Olafs Axes came up short of their own high expectations at the Bournemouth 7s.
The Saturday group games went well and saw us qualify for the main cup on the Sunday.
In the quarterfinals we played the well known Harpenden Praetorians where we played some very good 7s and ran out 19-0 winners.
In the semi finals we came up against a very young and quick Marauders Academy. We were 14-7 up at half time, but with injuries to our top try scorer Paul Unseld and to James Clarke we fell short in the second half and lost 26-14. Special mention to Sam Akinluyis attempted round the back bounce pass at the very end of the game which got the biggest cheer of the match.
