Olafs Axes Win GRM7s

Olafs Axes started the 7s season off with a bang by winning the Graham Robinson Memorial 7s at Old Emmanuel RFC on Saturday.

We won the group comfortably beating Old Hamptonians 31-0, Well Oiled Beef Hooked 36-5 and finally The Phantoms 36-0.

In the semi finals we played a young a well drilled team, OE U21 (stone), but still cruised through to the final winning 33-0.

The finals was against Fortus Nutrition Cowboys , and although a much tougher test than the previous games we out scored them 3 tries to 1 to win 15-7.

It was a great start to our season, and the biggest positive to come out of the day was the outstanding defense which only conceded 2 tries all tournament. Hopefully this form will continue for the rest of the season and we will have a few more trophies by the end of the season.
