I Pessimi Sevens Team began in 2010 as a merger between Lazio Sevens Team and Pessimi Beach Rugby team. All the players are from Rome, coming from different teams of the Italian Capital. Lazio Sevens won two sevens tournaments in Italy in 2010 and they reached the final of Cortina Sevens, one of the most important seven’s tournaments  in Italy. I Pessimi had won the Italian Beach Rugby League for two years in a row and last season they won the International Beach Rugby Tournament against the South African team Wild Dogs on their first visit to Lignano. The average age is under 23 years old, and some of the players have caps with the Italian National Junior Team and Italian Rugby Sevens team. Their purpose in coming to the Amsterdam Sevens, which they regard as the best open tournament in Europe, to build up a semi-pro team to challenge the best European Sevens teams. We predict a Silver Pier qualification and possibly better and we are sure that in future years they will become one of the top sides at the Amsterdam Sevens.
