FROGGIES CLUB
The FROGGIES Club who is regularly competing as an invitation side in many of the world’s top rugby sevens tournaments – featuring a cross section barbarians style of French-based national Pro league players and rugby seven overseas specialists.
It all started in 1990 in Toulouse after a French team named “Toulouse FROGGIES” winning for the first time the Dubai Exiles International Sevens Tournament in the UAE.
Over the years the FROGGIES Club has developed into a renowned International 7’s side that draws it players from all sectors of the domestic and international arena.
But they have never lost that sense of French humour and conviviality from the early days.
Other significant names that have joined the FROGGIES Club team have included Bernard Laporte, Thierry Janeczek, Bernard Delbreil, Willy Jefferson, Philippe Bernat-Salles, Denis Charvet, Philippe Carbonneau, Jean-Luc Sadourny, Fabien Pelous, fijien Sereli Bobo, Vesi Rauluni and All Black Glenn Osborne to name a few.
Since those early years the FROGGIES Club have introduced their French flair for rugby and entertainment in many other tournaments including Bangkok, Suva, Kuala Lumpur 10’s, Dubai, Lisbon, Benidorm, Limerick, Budapest, Roma, Belfast, Abertillerry, Punta del Este.
