West Country Cavalier off to play the Australian 7's Circuit...
The West Country Cavaliers, a 7’s rugby side built around ex-Bath Rugby and University of Bath players, including Dave Ward, Mike Baxter and Kieron Lewitt, are pleased to announce that one of their players has agreed a deal with a top 7’s side in Australia. Winger Chris Eames, who plays 15-a-side rugby for Bath Combination club Keynsham, will be jetting off in early November to play 7’s rugby with the Country King Browns, taking in venues including the Gold Coast, Sydney, Brisbane and Wellington, New Zealand. Eames will find himself lining up with and against some of the Southern Hemisphere’s future stars as the Super 15 sides regularly compete on the 7’s circuit, helping to develop their younger stars. view the rest of the post »
Cavaliers season finale at the Cotswold 7's...
This Saturday, 7th August, sees the West Country Cavaliers travel to Dursley RFC for the 1st annual Cotswold 7's - being organised by one of the Godfathers management Adam D'Arcy-Wass. Despite the fact that preseason games are starting for many of the boys this weekend the Cavaliers have managed to pull together a talented and experienced squad for the tournament. view the rest of the post »

The West Country Cavaliers dominated last weekend at the Newquay Surf 7's in the Men's Open competition. The side, captained by Rhidian McGuire, contained the majority of the side that competed in the National Series at the West Country 7's. view the rest of the post »
Cavaliers looking forward to Newquay...
This weekend the West Country Cavaliers will make to long trip down to Newquay for the third consecutive year to compete in the Surf 7's. The Cavaliers will compete in the Men's Open competition on Saturday 17th, in what looks like a very strong competition. With sides like the Godfathers, Touraid Castaways and the Glantaf Goats it is going to be a hard day at the office. view the rest of the post »

Cavaliers gearing up for Ashby 7's
The West Country Cavaliers are heading up the motorway tomorrow for the Ashby 7's with a tasty looking side, and are aiming to go one better than last year by winning the competition. The side includes a few changes to the team that successfully defended the Bradford-on-Avon 7's last weekend, due to the loss of a number of regulars due to injuries and county call-ups. view the rest of the post »
