The Bali Legends rugby team is formed to play in social rugby tournaments around the world and to play in memory of the 27 rugby players and supporters who died in the 2002 Bali Bombings.

The Bali Legends Team entered into the 2007 International Veterans Section of the Dubai 7s International Rugby Tournament and the team was comprised of players of many nationalities that were based in Asia and the UK.
The Legends squad in 2007 was predominantly made up of players from the clubs affected by the Bali bombings. Three of the four clubs that lost players in the Bali bombings were represented and players travelled from Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and the UK to play for the team along with a number of Middle East based players.
The 2007 Bali Legends team was put together by two Middle East based former members of the Hong Kong Potbellied Pigs (Brain Jenkins and Trefor Elliott) both of whom were in Bali in 2002 and both of whom were involved in the first Bali Legends team that played in Australia in 2003
