AUSTIN AREA HIGH SCHOOL RUGBY
The AAHS Rugby Team was formed in 1998 as one of the founding members of the Texas Rugby Union's High School Division. In the Spring of 2010 a middle school side (U14) will be added. The club is comprised of student athletes in the Austin Area, with representatives from almost every area school since its inception.
In it's first year AAHS took 4th place overall (out of ~50) in the TOLA (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas) series Men's Division. AAHS chose to play the Men's sides rather than the high school sides to compete at a higher level and allow siblings and a Dad or two to get on the pitch. The TOLA Series is a Rugby Sevens competition whose goal is to offer a regionalized competition consisting of several 7s tournaments that lead to the crowning of a champion in the Central South U.S
