Spain name Womens squad for Rugby World Cup Sevens in Moscow

Spain have joined Fiji and USA in naming their final squad of 12 to compete in Pool C at the fast approaching Rugby World Cup Sevens in Moscow. Brazil complete the line-up in the pool. Fresh from their fourth-placed finish at the recent European Championships in Marbella, head coach Boris Gutierrez has named a squad featuring only one change, Laura Esbri suffering an untimely knee injury on home soil. Spain harbour high hopes at this World Cup with their minimum target being qualification as a core team on next season’s Women’s Sevens World Series. To achieve that aim they will need to finish inside the top eight.
