Fiji flyer Osea Kolinisau looks set to miss the last two remaining legs of the IRB Sevens World Series The Lau man has earnt himself a three week trial with French Rugby Pro D2 side Agen, which starts immediately.

Agen are currently top of France’s second tiered club competition and boast fellow Fiji stars Rupeni Caucaunibuca and Saimoni Vaka in their ranks.

Kolinisau harbours aspirations of playing in next year’s 15-a-side RWC in New Zealand for the Flying Fijians and will be unavailable for the London (22-23 May) and Edinburgh legs (29-30 May) of the World Series.

The pacey Kolinisau has excelled on this season and been a regular in Iliesa Tanivula’s starting seven since December.

Fiji currently lay in third position on the overall log behind rivals New Zealand and Samoa following their respective quarter-final and semi-final exits in Adelaide and Hong Kong.

South Africa stars in Under-20 squad

Blitzbokke's Sampie Mastriet and Branco du Preez also look set to miss the London and Edinburgh leg, having both been included South Africa's Under-20 squad for the upcoming IRB World Championships in Argentina in June. Both players were newcomers to the IRB Sevens this year but have been impressive for coach Paul Treu.

Mastriet, who helped the Baby Boks to third place at last year's IRB Junior World Championship in Japan, scored nine tries on his IRB Sevens World Series debut in Adelaide last month before playing in Hong Kong.
