more »Kamikaze set for Winchester return

Easter Sunday will once again be returning to UK’s South East of England with Winchester Rugby Club the venue for the traditional holiday tournament.
32 teams will battle it out in eight pools at the social tournament with Koru Kamikaze out to defend the title they won last year beating Pink Indians 28-10 in the final.
Jeremy Walmsley’s side have a busy weekend ahead as they are due at the Graham Robinson Memorial Sevens in New Malden the day before (April 3).
Joining Kamikaze for this year are the likes D7W and the Phantoms were both Cup quarter-finalists a year ago.
2008 winners, Otters, are also involved with local boys the Bunnies also returnees.
Organiser Jez Broadway says the annual tournament allows players to participate in a pressure free environment whilst enjoying the social aspects of the holiday period.
“All the teams are made from friends who love the game. They have a great day and it is a day for players who have worked hard all season and want to relax and play without pressure.”
More Sevens in the West Country
Two more traditional tournaments are due to take place in the UK’s South-West. Penryn in Cornwell is again a hosting a tournament on Easter Sunday with local teams battling it out for the £600 prize pot.
Down in Devon, Salcombe RFC will also be the venue for their traditional Sevens at the picturesque and popular holiday destination.
