This weekend saw only the second ever Cancun Sevens take place in the lively Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Canadian side Dog River Howlers took the overall spoils, beating English side Blackheath 45-0 in the final, although it was expected to be a slightly closer affair.
Both sides had reached the final without conceding a single point. Blackheath scored a total of 134 unanswered points in the pool stages.
Jaguares, who had beaten Sevens, EEK Baalam 1 and Veracruz to top Pool C undefeated, were dispatched 21-0 in the semi-final by Blackheath.
Dog River Howlers scored an impressive 172 points in their three pool matches, and beat the Mexican outfit Black Thunder 46-0 in the semi-finals to set up a thrilling final against Blackheath.
Black Thunder had earlier completed the semi-final line up as the best placed runner-up thanks to a 35-0 victory over hosts Cancun in Pool A.
