more »Brown's late show enough for Suva One

Suva One skipper James Brown led his troops by example as his last minute try sealed a 31-29 win over Ratu Filise in the Suva 7s final at the National Stadium today.
Brown, a regular on the IRB World Sevens Series last year, and player of the tournament Patirck Osborne grabbed a brace each while Jimione Biumaiwai added one for the capital side.
Ratu Filise boosted with the likes of Fiji Bati rugby league reps Kaliova Tani, Jone Macilai, Joe Ravueta, and Penaia Tuqiri fought hard to reach the final.
But it was Brown who stole the show with his last gasp effort when he galloped around Ratu Filise's Temesia Vuadra for the decider.
He said the win has set the platform for his young side for the upcoming tournament in Tahiti.
"I'm really happy with the win. Ratu Filise gave a good game but the boys played according to the plan which worked out in the end."
Tunaulu said defence was their main strike weapon against the tough and more physical Ratu Filise side.
"I reminded the boys the importance of defending our try line. I told them to defend and gain possession and turn it to points. The boys did that and kept the ball out wide."
The Suva side will jet out of the country on Tuesday for the Tahiti 7s.
"This is a good platform for us before we fly out to Tahiti on Tuesday."
Tunaulu said the core of his side to Tahiti will be named from the Suva One team. Suva was given the green light after the national side turned down the invitation.
