The Middlesex Sevens this weekend will see 12 Guinness Premiership and four invitational sides take to the field at Twickenham in search of the 84th title on Saturday.
Whilst many eyes will be on the next generation of Sevens stars, whether Harlequins can retain their crown and the fancy footwork of Apo Satala, there is another reason the crowds will be heading down to HQ.
Alongside the annual charity event, UR7s will be hosting the inaugural National Pass Off, with the winner taking home an array of prizes including a signed England Sevens shirt, and UR7s hospitality at the London Sevens next year.
Throughout the summer UR7s have travelled to several of the biggest 7s tournaments in the country and taken the infamous Speed Cage, a small sized inflatable structure that monitors the speed a ball is travelling at when it is passed into it, with them.
At Church, Bath, Brighton and Newquay 7s people have had the opportunity to record their speeds and compare them to several Sevens internationals.
The fastest recorded speeds from each tournament have been invited back to Twickenham on Saturday to take part in the National Pass Off and a select few will be thrown into the mix on the day.
Huw Warren, Tom Lawrence, Andrew King, Chris Morgans and Joseph Johns, the fastest from the tournaments will compete with the three fastest on the day for the prizes.
The National Pass Off will be taking place at 13:00 in the West car park and this is something not to be missed.
