more »Invites sent out for Dubai Invitational Sevens

The dates for the IRB Sevens Series were announced last month for the 11th series, and Dubai will once again kick-off the circuit on December 4.
The ‘Sevens’, which hosted last year’s Dubai Sevens and the Rugby World Cup Sevens in March, also plays host to the International Invitational tournament, which will take place on the Thursday (3rd) and Friday (4th).
The organisers of the event have announced a provisional list of 15 teams they have reached out to for the Invitational part of the tournament. With the final played on the main pitch on Day 1 of the IRB event.
Included are last year’s two finalists, Sporting Chance and Kooga Wailers. Sporting Chance, a charity established by former England 7s star Phil Greening, beat Kooga Wailers 32-5, as well as other teams from India, Nigeria, France and England.
