more »England stars out in force at Rossyln Park Floodlit Sevens

The 35th Rossyln Park Floodlit Sevens kicks off later tonight with the usual high quality field in attendance. The tournament has been boosted by the inclusion of various members of the England Sevens team who will represent the Help For Heroes VII – the charity for which proceeds are being rasied at the event.
Ben Ryan is using the event as further game-time development ahead of the remaining leg of the IRB World Sevens Series legs at Twickenham and Murrayfield, with the likes of Tom Varndell, Ollie Phillips, Micky Young, Josh Drauiniui, Dan Norton, Uche Odouza, , Kevin Barratt, and James Rodwell all set to feature later tonight.
They face defending champions British Army and the talented students of Loughborough University in Pool D.
Last year’s finalists Harlequins are back with a strong side of talented youngsters, as are London Irish, London Wasps, and Saracens. Another team to look out for is the students from Cambridge University who impressed everyone at the weekend with their composed performances at the ULR Invitation Premier 7s Tournament at Bury St Edmunds. The first game kicks off at 17:00 with the final due to begin at 22:30. The winners of the group head straight to the semi-finals.
Group A: London Irish, London Scottish, London Wasps.
Group B: Harlequins, Esher, Cambridge University.
Group C: Saracens, Rosslyn Park, Richmond
Group D: Help for Heroes VII, Loughborough University, The Army.
