All to play for in Germany for the hosts, Belgium and Sweden

After the victory of Belgium in Gdansk (Poland), the second stage of this FIRA 7s Group A will be held this weekend (2-3 July) at Heidelberg in Germany


Germany will host the second (and last) stage of the Seven's Division A tournaments.


After its win at Gdansk, the Belgium team will try to hold on to its lead over the Division in Heidelberg. The competition is, nonetheless, fierce; the finalists in Poland, Sweden, is looking to steal first place, who's english contingent, Alex Taylor, Andy Daish and Lee Sandberg are missing the Super Series this weekend for Olorun to play for their country, while the host, Germany, can still finish first and be promoted in the 7's Grand Prix Series next year.


Indeed, the team which finished first in the Division will play, in 2012, with the Elite of the continent including England, Wales, France, Scotland, Russia, Portugal and Spain.

Other countries can also hope to be promoted; Lithuania and Poland (4th and 5th in Gdansk) will nevertheless have to perform really well in Heidelberg while the first three teams will have to slip up.


The other stake of this tournament is the relegation into Division B. After Gdansk, Cyprus and Switzerland are the two last teams but Croatia and Andorra should also be concerned by this. Czech Republic also have to be vigilant; a bad performance and they could be playing in Division B in 2012.

By Sunday evening, all the teams will know in which division they will play next year.
