The Help for Heroes squad has been confirmed for this Saturday’s prestigious Middlesex Charity Sevens to be played at Twickenham Stadium.
Coached by England Sevens Head Coach Ben Ryan, the Help for Heroes will be led by experienced England Sevens international Kevin Barrett of Saracens.
Ben Ryan said “The Middlesex 7s is a fantastic tournament and it’s a privilege to be a part of it and to coach a side, which is playing on behalf of such a great cause ‘Help for Heroes.’
"All the teams have some excellent Sevens players in them, whether they are former England sevens stars like Danny Care, Ugo Monye, Richard Haughton, Tom Varndell or Delon Armitage or current world class sevens players like Humphrey Kayange, Collins Injera, Zar Lawerence or Pedro Leal. Not to mention the strong Wales team present too. I really hope as many fans as possible turn up to support their favourite team and player on the day.
“Our opening match against Saracens, the JP Morgan premiership Sevens champions, is as tough a first game there could be for the Help for Heroes squad. Just seeing the match ups between teams and players, it's going to be a fascinating day of sevens rugby.”
