more »Stannard recalled by Force

Aussie Sevens half-back James Stannard will return to Super Rugby next season with the Western Force.
Stannard played 10 matches in 2008 for the Force as a rookie and has continued his development for his country in the abbreviated code.
He proved an instrumental figure in the final legs of the 2009/10 IRB Sevens Series leading Australia to their first title in eight years at Twickenham and a runners-up berth in Edinburgh.
Stannard will still be involved in the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Delhi (October 11-12).
"James is a quality player and during his time at the club previously was a popular figure amongst team mates and supporters alike," RugbyWA CEO Vern Reid said.
Forbes uncertain
One player unsure of his presence at October’s Games is New Zealand captain DJ Forbes. The kiwi star has sustained a serious groin injury hampering his preparations as New Zealand attempt a fourth gold medal.
Forbes has been told to rest for the next five to six weeks, meaning he will miss a large part of the ITM Cup season with Counties Manukau.
