Samurai Barracudas, a development team for Samurai International, head to Kenya this weekend to take part in the Safaricom Sevens.
The team consists of 5 UK players such as Jamie Hearn (Saracens Academy) and Ben Davey (Sale Sharks Academy) and 7 young South Africans from Stellenbosch and Jo'Burg University.
With the National Sevens Series starting next Saturday (June 12 at RugbyRocks) a development side was sent to Africa.
Samurai have never won in Kenya and will hope the presence of coach Chester Williams can galvanise them.
Things won’t be easy for Samurai, who are pooled with number one seeds and defending champions, Kenya. France’s Le Bleus complete the line-up in a hugely competitive Pool.
Melrose Sevens winners Hamilton, the oldest club in South Africa, join Argentina, Ponsonby, Bristol University and Grenoble as some of the overseas attractions for the passionate fans.
Last year’s runners-ups Emerging Springboks and Zimbabwe’s Cheetahs all return to the RFUEA Grounds on Ngong Rd. Other African sides attending are Namibia, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana and Morocco.

Hi Bonnie Sorry for the delay in rseponding. Work was hell today. I'm excited about folks reading this series. I'm actually doing edits for Assassin's Heart, which is coming out September 7th.
