London Floodlit Sevens hosted at Rossyln Park will once again return this evening (Thursday 6 May) with Saracens, London Wasps and Harlequins all involved.
Last year saw England, playing under the Help for Heroes VII banner, triumph with the national side returning to defend their title.
Coach Ben Ryan will use the event as a stepping stone with preparations stepping up ahead of the London Sevens (May 22-23) the penultimate leg of the IRB Sevens World Series
The Army, recently revealed as a core side in the inaugural National Sevens Series in the UK, will be hunting success following their loss to the Navy at Twickenham on Saturday.
Esher were convincing in their Middlesex Club Sevens win on Saturday but will face a far tougher test at Priory Lane this evening.
It is a busy time for the Students with Cambridge University also on show, with the Light Blues also due at Bury St Edmunds on Sunday. Loughborough Students will also be in attendance joined by local clubs Richmond, Blackheath, London Scottish and hosts Rosslyn Park.
“The Floodlit Sevens tournament is exciting and entertaining. It is a great chance to see some of the best Sevens players in the country go head to head all in one evening”, said Harlequins coach Tony Diprose.
