this is probably a stupid question, but...
i play 15-a-side, however my school has decided it can only afford the uniforms/equipment for ten players...so0o0o we're gonna switch to sevens.
i don't know much about it, however i gather its pretty much the same...
one question i cant seem to find an answer to is the numbers...?!
What, exactly, are the jersey numbers for SEVENS???
(i.e hooker is 2, fullback is....)

i thought it just went one through seven, but i also see people wearing 11 & 13?
do people just keep their old position numbers???
sorry if i sound ignorant...the answer will probably be obvious i'm just missing it

A 7s Squad is traditionally made up of 12 players, with the numbers going from 1-12 - as there is so much fluctuation on the field with regards to the interchange of players the number often does not correspond to a particular position that, the player is actually playing. In an ideal world the starting 7 would go 1 through 7 but as there are only 5 subs this would get thrown out once they come on to the field.

Basically get yourself 10 or 12 jerseys and use them as you see fit.
